Interesting that you both think the character of Tony in Crossroads was so bad. I have always thought he was too tame. I know several real people worse than Tony. I think perhaps that was why Crossroads, although enjoyable didn't really speak to me.

In pursuit of those he loved, he invaded the very depths of that hell we have made for ourselves and one another ( and the planet and animal life ) - IN THE COSMOS, in history, in our own hearts- so as to drag us to himself ( to use the actual language of John 12:32).

I don’t have a problem with God being able to do anything, I just have a question I just have a problem with myself not being able to do everything, I don’t have free will, I free will for the small boring stuff but I’ve have Autism and that has screwed me up, it’s stopped me from getting married, I discovered I had autism at age 49 I’m 53 now, I’ve been diagnosed with gender Dysphoria of which I carry huge weight of guilt, both from the church, from how I think God is according to the charismatic church thing I came into aged 17 in 1988.

How would you explain the sheep and the goats where Jesus throws the goats and Satan and his demons in the lake of fire to burn forever? Is it referring to the actual people or just their false identities?

I want to believe because I know God is love, I have experienced it. But I have questions, why would Jesus say that it would have been better for Judas if he had never been born. How could it be better to never have been born if everyone forgiven and saved?

Both "sides" have their opinions, but what does the Bible actually say? Matthew 25:31-36 says, "Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you cursed. . . And these will go away into ETERNAL punishment, but the righteous into ETERNAL life.” Revelation 14:9-11 says, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath...and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have NO REST, day or night." If they were annihilated out of existence, then the statement no rest day or night makes no sense. Revelation 20:10 says, "And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be TORMENTED day and night FOREVER and ever. . .Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if ANYONE"S name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." By the way, the word torment is translated from the Greek word Basanismos, and it means to torture. It absolutely does NOT mean to annihilate and put out of existence.

On the question about 7 minutes in.. For me the scriptures seem to go along these lines.. There is a punishment but not an everlasting punishment.. The fire of God may not be quenched but the purifying process to qualifying some souls who lived in rebellion on this side of the grave..may have to endure a longer process time in transitioning through a readiness to live in the presence power of God who is a consuming fire Jesus said a number of scripture along these lines..such as fall on the rock and be broken or the rock will fall on you and grind you to powder..or he who knows to do good but does it not shall be beaten with many stripes..but he who knows not shall be beaten with few stripes..another about not coming out thence til thou hast paid the last farthing.. Then Paul talking about a man's work being tried by fire..if those works were wood, hay or stubble they will be burnt up and he will suffer loss..but he himself will be saved yet so as by fire.. In short I believe in justice..a kind of merciful justice..but not automatically pardon for everything...

Why do soooo many people that clinically die and some for 10, 20, or even 30 minutes and are revived say there is no hell...God is unconditional love, all knowing, he does not allow his creation to suffer eternal torment, that just doesn't even make sense if you really think about it...why if he is all knowing would he create man knowing he would be weak and sin and then when he dies go to hell to suffer eternally, that is just ridiculous...the bible has been rewritten and interpreted by man so many times how are we to know what was changed or added...

God is Love. This is absolutely true. And hell is absence of God. Where after you turn your back on him and disobey his Commandments; he then turns his face from you. and are thrown into outer darkness. That being written. You want to take the chance that there is no hell. Go ahead. God did give us freewill after all.

When you say that God is love you are missing the other side of the coin. God’s judgment is also perfect. You cannot have love without judgment. We have free will for a reason. Mat 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. Mat 7:14 "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

I can listen to these two or i can trust the 2000 year old church which is divinely inspired. Apparently these two have no historical basis for their agenda. This is a novel concept.

As those who have chosen to be Jesus followers we are to let Jesus purge out of us all that is sin . We do this by dying to self and taking up our cross daily. If we do this in the mortal body we will have less dross that needs to be removed when we finally get out of this mortal body. Those who have not followed Jesus must have that dross removed in the lake of fire.

Hell is not the second death, it's not the lake of fire.

I think that hell does not line up with Gods character because God is unconditional Love!

Really curious when yall briefly mention the cannon and Enoch comes up he says Enoch wasn’t canonized “thank god” wondering why? Many NT books quote or reference Enoch. Also wondering what points to the fact that no gospel writers actually knew Jesus? Where does one come to that conclusion?
